| Pearl Heart Biography |
Pearl Heart is made up of three sisters; Amy, Angela, and Courtney Krechel who currently reside in Franklin TN. The group started back in 1998 when the girls lived just South of Memphis TN in the town of Hernando MS. At the time all three girls and their younger brother Billy attended home school for their education. The experience was wonderful, bringing the family closer than ever, and through their music class taught by their dad, their vocal talent was soon discovered. It became abundantly clear though that their capacity for learning exceeded what they could get at home. They eventually found their way to the vocal studio of Mr. Bob Westbrook. Bob was well known in Memphis and well respected within the music industry for his work with Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and Lance Bass. The girls flourished under his instruction and in Sept 1998 they officially formed a group called Me Too which performed contemporary country and gospel hits. At the time of their first paid performance, Courtney was eight years old and Amy and Angela were eleven.
In 2000, the girls and their family moved to St. Louis Mo, which was really home and where all the girls were born. The girls continued to perform under the group name of Me Too for years, doing countless fairs, and festivals across the mid-west and mid-south region. During that time they had the opportunity to open for The Wilkinsons and also for John Anderson. They were also fortunate to meet and to work with Butchwax and the Hollywoods which provided them the opportunity to work with some of the finest musicians St. Louis has to offer. There were many trips to Branson, where Me Too was a guest artist at several venues and there were numerous visits to TV and radio stations to promote their group. It was at this time that the girls also made the transition from performing to accompaniment tracks to being backed by a four piece band of gifted musicians from their church.
Eventually though the girls wanted to take their group to a higher level and soon set their sights on Nashville. As good fortune would have it, the girls again were introduced to a couple of extraordinary individuals in the music industry that helped them navigate their way through a very complex business. They also made a career decision that it was time to change their name to something with a little more zing and chose the name Pearl Heart. The name really has no intrinsic meaning for them, but they liked the way it sounded.
In the summer of 2006 the girls and their family moved to Franklin TN where the girls currently reside. All three are gifted vocalists, guitarists and are developing into equally talented songwriters. One of their current favorite things to do is to perform at one of the many open mic nights around Nashville as they try to develop a following and to establish themselves as artists in a town deep with talent. They have met many wonderful songwriters and performers and are very humbled by being accepted into this group of professionals.
The Pearl Heart sound is one of wonderful harmonies interwoven into tight musical arrangements. Their performances are heartfelt and in addition to their original material include covers of many of today's country favorites.
